Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Platt during the 1993-94 season. The Italia 90 World Cup star Platt joined the club in the summer of '93 in a £5.2M transfer from Juventus. The midfielder settled in well in the midfield alongside Gullit, Jugovic and Lombardo and made 31 appearances scoring an impressive 9 goals. Platt capped off a fine debut campaign in Genoa by winning the Coppa Italia as Samp crushed Ancona and also finished 3rd place in Serie A. He spent two years at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris making it four in total in Italy, a spell that he is fondly remembered for. Platt went on to win more honours with Arsenal and also finished with 62 caps for the Three Lions scoring 27 goals in his careeer which made him the then second highest ever midfield goalscorer after Bobby Charlton
