Durie started the match upfront with Ally McCoist and played for 82 minutes before being replaced by John Collins who had an immediate impact, making it 1-0 within 60 seconds. Kostadinov scored a last minute equaliser for the visitors though and the game ended all-square at 1-1. Durie went on to earn 43 caps for his country after making his debut in 1987, scoring 7 goals and featuring at both Euro '92 and '96
