Notes - Vintage boots made by Diadora during the early 90s, dedicated to former Inter Milan and Italy goalkeeper Walter Zenga. This rare model is crafted with a synthetic leather alternative that provides similar performance characteristics to traditional leather including touch, comfort and durability but with a man-made replacement. An enlarged tongue gives this a typical look of a 90s boot, while the Diadora logos on either side are a typical feature synonymous with their boots from the time. The inside region is lined with a textile for improved comfort and revolutionary 'VIBRASSORB' technology has been added to the midsole to reduce shock to the foot generated from impact with the ground. A 14 stud rubber configuration makes up the soleplate that offers improved traction on hard ground surfaces. This model comes in a black, green and white colourway with 'W.Zenga' print on the outside of each boot. Zenga made over 300 appearances for Inter during a 16 year spell with the club that delivered the 1988/89 Serie A title and two UEFA Cup triumphs in the early 90s. The goalkeeper earned 58 caps for Italy, including being first choice when they hosted the World Cup in 1990. Zenga has took up management since retirement from the game, most notably having a brief stint with Wolverhampton Wanderers before his dismissal after just three months in 2016.
