Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been issued to Hateley during the period 1987-89. The former Coventry man had earned his first cap back in 1984 against the USSR and had been a regular in the Three-Lions lineup until 1988 when after the side's dismal performance at the European Championships in Germany he faded from the starting XI. This away design was worn six times by the senior team with five of those games ending in draws and the other a victory over Greece. Hateley earned 32 caps in total for his country bagging 9 goals on the International stage and appeared at Mexico 86' as well as Euro 88'. At club level, he was somewhat of a European journeyman starting his career with goal-filled spells at Coventry and Portsmouth before enjoying stints on the continent with AC Milan and Monaco. He would win a boatload of trophies with Rangers in the 90s picking up 6 Scottish top-flight titles and later had spells with QPR and Hull.
