Player - Experienced Dulka Prague defender Josef Novák #5
Features
Notes - Ultra rare player shirt believed to have been worn by Novák for the Euro 1988 Qualifying Group 6 match against Denmark, played at Idraetsparken in Copenhagen on 3rd June 1987. The sides had played out a 0-0 draw the previous year in Bratislava and it would be another close one in the Danish capital. A thunderbolt of a free-kick from Jan Mølby gave the hosts the lead early on but Sparta Prague midfielder Ivan Hašek levelled the scores just after the break as both sides earned a share of the spoils. Novák played the full match and featured in 4 of the side's 6 qualifiers as Czechoslovakia went on to finish runners-up to the Danes in Group 6 and missed out on a spot at the Finals in West Germany. The defender won 12 caps in total for his country between 1985-87 and enjoyed the bulk of his club career with Josef Novák.
