The Greek FA protested heavily that the match should have been converted to a regulatory 3-0 defeat for Holland but instead UEFA decided that the game be replayed. In this replay match John Bosman scored a hat-trick and Ronald Koeman got the other as Holland cruised to a 4-0 victory and secured their place at Euro 88. Misos played the full match and featured in all bar one of the side's qualifiers as they they slumped to bottom placed finished in Group 5. The defender won 9 caps in total for his country between 1986-87 and played the majority of his club career with APOEL.
