Notes - Ultra rare player shirt of Bobby Mitchell #11 worn in the match against France on the 16th of May '51 at Hampden Park, Mitchell had made his debut the previous month against Denmark a game in which he also scored but this match was to be his last for the national team, he played the full match as the side won 1-0 thanks to a Laurie Reilly goal, the forward Mitchell spent most of his club career at Newcastle making 408 appearences scoring 95 goals, the yellow and pink hooped design is extremely rare and has never been worn by the side since this campaign, the shirt has excellent provenance and comes with a letter and coa, an extremely collectable piece of Scotland memorabilia |
