Notes - Extremely rare player shirt worn by the defender Dave Watson #5 in the Home Nations Championship match against Northern Ireland on the 16th of May 1978 at Wembley, Watson played the full 90 minutes as the side won the match 1-0, they went onto triumph in the competition with victories over Wales and Scotland which went some way to making up for the sides failure to reach the '78 World Cup, Watson won 65 caps for England and at club level played for Sunderland, Man City, Bremen, Southampton & Stoke before joining the NASL, very collectable |
